So my grandma always rode to work on a BSA bantam, I used to polish it for her when I was little. It was always an ambition to pass my test and ride like she did.
I left school and all I can say is life and work just got in the way, I have 2 beautiful daughters that I love to the moon and back. I had a great husband until 6 years ago, I don’t know what changed but I had to deal with a world of abuse. The year before I left him my nanny said 'you always wanted to ride what happened?' and he laughed and said 'she couldn’t ride a motorcycle!' So I booked my CBT and lessons, passed my MOD 1 and MOD 2 and proved him wrong. I left him 2 months later with my nanny’s support and my freedom to ride I got myself back on my feet and now at 48 I ride nearly everyday.
My nanny sadly passed away at the fab age of 93 in February her last words were 'I’m so proud to see you pull off on that beastie of a bike.'
